Blood test guides gentler radiation for throat cancer

NCT ID NCT05962242

Summary

This study is testing whether a lower dose of radiation to the neck can be as effective as standard treatment for HPV-positive throat cancer, but with fewer side effects. About 90 adults with this type of cancer will receive the lower-dose radiation, and their response will be monitored using a special blood test. The goal is to control the cancer while improving patients' quality of life during and after treatment.
