New drug duo aims to supercharge immune system against HPV cancer before surgery

NCT ID NCT05317000

Summary

This study is testing if giving two drugs—one chemotherapy and one immunotherapy—before surgery can better prepare the immune system to fight HPV-linked head and neck cancer. It will compare using the drugs alone or together in about 50 people with early-stage, operable cancer. The main goal is to see if the combination causes a stronger immune response in the tumor than either drug alone.
