Mushroom gel may fight HPV without surgery
NCT ID NCT07429071
First seen Mar 02, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests a vaginal gel made from a mushroom extract (Coriolus versicolor) to see if it can clear HPV and reverse early cervical cell changes (CIN1 or CIN2) in 70 women aged 30-50. Half will use the gel for 6 months; the other half will follow the usual 'watch and wait' approach. The goal is to find a non-invasive treatment option that avoids more aggressive procedures.
