Scientists trace Wine's journey through the body
NCT ID NCT07394101
Summary
This study aims to understand how the body absorbs and processes tartaric acid, a natural compound found in grapes and wine. Researchers will give 30 healthy adults a measured dose of tartaric acid through red wine, fresh grapes, or grape juice. They will then collect blood and urine samples over 24 hours to see if the source of the acid changes how the body handles it.
