Scientists probe hidden blood pressure dangers of your desk job
NCT ID NCT07396857
Summary
This study aims to understand how a single, long period of sitting affects blood pressure regulation for the next 24 hours. Researchers will measure blood pressure, heart rate, and blood flow in 40 healthy men and women before and after a 2-hour sitting session. They will also test if a specific natural chemical that helps relax arteries is less effective after sitting, using a common medication to temporarily block it.
