Groundbreaking study separates nature from nurture in pregnancy stress

NCT ID NCT07296107

Summary

This study aims to understand how a mother's stress during pregnancy affects her baby's brain and behavioral development. Researchers are comparing IVF pregnancies using donor eggs (where mother and baby don't share genes) with regular IVF pregnancies to separate environmental effects from genetic ones. Participants complete questionnaires, provide samples, and have their baby's development monitored to learn how stress influences development before birth.
