Fatty liver may alter Kids' response to cholesterol meds

NCT ID NCT04903223

Summary

This study aims to understand how fat in the liver affects how children and teenagers process and respond to a common cholesterol-lowering drug called rosuvastatin. Researchers will enroll 50 participants aged 8-21 with high cholesterol and a specific genetic background. They will use MRI scans to measure liver fat and see if it changes the drug's effectiveness or risk of side effects.
