Scientists probe how kids build muscle
NCT ID NCT07267429
Summary
This study aims to understand how children's bodies get stronger from weight training. Researchers will compare 40 healthy children, aged 7-12, who do a 12-week strength program to a group that does not train. They will use non-invasive scans and sensors to see if strength gains come from the brain learning to use muscles better, the muscles growing larger, or a combination of both.
