Scientists probe why Women's blood sugar reacts differently to food
NCT ID NCT07278063
Summary
This study aims to understand how high-fat meals and a woman's menstrual cycle affect blood sugar levels in people with type 1 diabetes. Researchers will compare blood sugar responses in 50 adults (25 women, 25 men) after eating standardized low-fat and high-fat meals. The goal is to gather information that could help create more personalized insulin dosing advice, especially for women whose insulin needs may change throughout their cycle.
