Scientists track gut healing after fecal transplants
NCT ID NCT07374094
Summary
This study aims to understand why some treatments for C. difficile infection work better than others. Researchers will observe 200 patients receiving either standard antibiotics or a fecal microbiota transplant (FMT) as part of their normal care. They will collect samples and surveys over five years to learn how these treatments help the gut heal and prevent the infection from coming back.
