Scientists probe hidden exercise messages between muscle and fat

NCT ID NCT07106450

Not yet recruiting Knowledge-focused Sponsor: Yuan Wen Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This study aims to understand how exercise helps the body process sugar and fat by looking at tiny communication packages sent from muscles to fat cells. Researchers will recruit 80 adults, half with prediabetes and half without, to perform resistance exercise and provide small tissue samples. The goal is to learn why some people's fat cells respond better to these exercise signals than others, which could inform future treatments.
