Estrogen's hidden effect: how it alters your medicine

NCT ID NCT05469204

Summary

This study looked at how gender-affirming estrogen therapy affects how the body processes other medications. Researchers gave 22 transgender adults who were starting estrogen treatment small doses of three common drugs to measure changes in how their bodies absorbed and eliminated them. The goal was to understand if estrogen treatment changes how other medicines work in the body.
