Body fat may change how cancer drugs work

NCT ID NCT05858398

Summary

This study aims to understand if a person's body weight and amount of body fat change how the breast cancer drug docetaxel is processed by the body. Researchers will measure drug levels in the blood of 48 women with early-stage breast cancer who are receiving the drug as part of their treatment. They will compare these levels between patients who are lean, overweight, and obese to see if body composition affects the drug's behavior.
