Heart stent study probes hidden calcium risk

Summary
This study aims to understand if calcium buildup in heart arteries affects how well a stent heals in the first month after placement. Researchers will enroll 40 patients with coronary artery disease who are getting a specific stent. They will use a special imaging scan to compare healing of stent parts placed over calcium versus those placed over healthy artery tissue.
