Could summer heat be brewing your kidney stones? new study investigates gut link

NCT ID NCT07043374

Summary

This study aims to understand why kidney stones might be more common in hot, humid weather. Researchers will compare the gut bacteria and blood chemistry of 270 people—some with kidney stones and some without. They want to see if weather changes gut bacteria, which then affects body processes linked to stone formation.
