Simple heat therapy tested for paralyzed gut pain

NCT ID NCT07248098

Summary

This study is testing if applying a hot water bag to the abdomen can help people with ileus, a condition where the intestines stop moving. The goal is to see if this simple, non-drug method can reduce their pain and help get their bowels working again. Researchers will compare results in 60 adults, with half receiving the hot water bag treatment and half receiving standard care.
