First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This completed study looked at 400 Egyptian adults who had open-heart surgery to see if living in a hot climate (Upper Egypt) versus a moderate climate (Lower Egypt) affected their bleeding after the operation. Researchers measured how much blood was lost in the first 24 hours and recorded any deaths or complications. The goal was to understand if climate plays a role in surgical recovery.
