Hospitals try new approach to stop youth gun violence
NCT ID NCT05078164
Summary
This study is testing whether a hospital-based program can help prevent future violence among youth who have been injured by violence. Researchers will compare two approaches: one group receives a brief brochure while the other gets intensive case management services for three months after leaving the hospital. The goal is to see which approach better reduces firearm use, risky behaviors, and repeat injuries among 300 youth participants.
