Summary
This study tested a program at a Pennsylvania hospital where security offered free gun locks and lockboxes to visitors who were carrying firearms. Researchers wanted to see if people would accept the devices and later use them to safely store their guns at home. They also tested different ways to ask people about their gun storage habits without making them uncomfortable.
