Hospital tech aims to stop dangerous drug Mix-Ups for seniors
NCT ID NCT04463576
Summary
This study tested a new computer system called PRoSIT, designed to automatically scan hospital discharge prescriptions for dangerous drug combinations. It aimed to see if the system could accurately identify these risky interactions and then be used to alert doctors and pharmacists. The goal was to help prevent medication errors and improve safety for patients aged 65 and older when they leave the hospital.
