Wrong hospital bed could raise death risk, major study investigates
NCT ID NCT07347847
Summary
This study aims to understand whether patients who are admitted to a hospital bed that doesn't match their emergency doctor's specific recommendation face a higher risk of dying. It will follow over 2,700 patients who visit emergency departments and require hospitalization. Researchers will track death rates, length of stay, and any complications to see if the type of bed a patient is placed in makes a difference.
