Could your period make MS fatigue worse? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07081594

Summary

This study aims to understand how natural hormone changes during the menstrual cycle affect the brain's connection to muscles, the ability to learn new movements, and feelings of fatigue in women with multiple sclerosis (MS). Researchers will measure hormone levels and test brain and muscle function at different cycle phases in 14 pre-menopausal women with MS. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help tailor future rehabilitation timing to when the body might be most responsive.
