Can your birth control affect your knee injury risk?
NCT ID NCT06504953
Summary
This study aims to understand if different types of hormonal birth control affect the looseness (laxity) of knee ligaments in healthy women. Researchers will measure knee movement in 90 women aged 18-40, comparing those on different contraceptives and at different points in their menstrual cycle. The goal is to gather knowledge about why women have a much higher risk of serious knee ligament injuries than men.
