Could a simple pill be the key to better shoulder surgery recovery?
NCT ID NCT04944836
Summary
This study is testing if a pill that boosts the body's natural sex hormones can help men heal better after surgery to repair a torn shoulder tendon. Men with low hormone levels will be randomly assigned to take either the real pill or a placebo (sugar pill) for several months around their surgery. Researchers will use MRI scans and surveys to see if the treatment improves tendon healing, reduces pain, and restores shoulder function.
