Scientists track how Gender-Affirming hormones reshape health
NCT ID NCT04838249
Summary
This study aims to understand how testosterone and estrogen affect the body during gender-affirming hormone therapy. Researchers will observe 80 transgender participants and a control group for five years, measuring changes in metabolism, eating habits, weight, and heart health. The goal is to gather knowledge about how sex hormones influence these systems, not to change the medical treatment participants receive.
