Scientists probe how hormone therapy changes the menopausal brain and body
NCT ID NCT07500922
Summary
This study aims to understand how hormone replacement therapy (HRT) affects brain function, strength, and overall health in women who have recently gone through menopause. Researchers will test 20 women before they start HRT and again after two and five months of treatment, measuring brain signals, muscle strength, body composition, and blood vessel health. Participants are also offered a voluntary 12-week exercise program to follow between some of the tests.
