Scientists probe hidden hormone links in cystic fibrosis diabetes
NCT ID NCT06163482
Summary
This study aims to understand why people with cystic fibrosis often develop diabetes by comparing their hormone responses after a meal to healthy individuals. Researchers will measure insulin, glucagon, and other hormone levels in the blood of 61 participants with cystic fibrosis after they drink a nutritional shake. The goal is to identify patterns that correlate with worsening blood sugar control, which could lead to better understanding and future treatments.
