This study aimed to find differences in vaginal tissue between premenopausal and postmenopausal women with pelvic organ prolapse. Researchers planned to use imaging and tissue samples to understand muscle and connective tissue changes. Only 7 women enrolled before the study was terminated, so results are limited.
