First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether lying with the head down before a procedure to remove a blood clot in the brain can improve recovery in people having a severe stroke. About 210 adults with a large blocked artery will be randomly assigned to either a head-down position or usual care before their clot-removal procedure. The goal is to see if this simple position change helps reduce brain damage and leads to better outcomes.
