Summary

This study tests a special machine that keeps donor hearts cool and oxygenated during transport, which may help more hearts be usable for transplant. About 20 adults waiting for a heart transplant will receive a heart preserved this way. The goal is to see if the method is safe and helps patients survive and recover well after transplant.
