Summary

This study tests whether a special type of counseling called hope-focused motivational interviewing can improve hope, self-confidence, and self-compassion in cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy. About 46 adults with stage I-III cancer will be randomly assigned to receive this counseling or standard care. The goal is to see if talking about hope can help patients feel better emotionally during treatment.
