New 'Hook' hand grip could help anesthesiologists deliver oxygen more easily to obese patients

NCT ID NCT06817083

Summary

This study compared a new 'hook technique' for hand-ventilating patients to two traditional methods. It involved 375 obese patients undergoing surgery to see which technique could deliver oxygen more quickly and reliably. The goal was to find a better way to support breathing in this higher-risk group during anesthesia.
