Home blood pressure monitoring trial aims to reduce dangerous drops during dialysis

NCT ID NCT05159999

Summary

This study tests whether using home blood pressure readings is better than using clinic readings before dialysis to guide treatment for 200 people with kidney failure. The goal is to reduce episodes of dangerously low blood pressure during dialysis treatments. Researchers will adjust medications and fluid management every two weeks to keep blood pressure in a safe range using two different measurement approaches.
