Heart rehab from your couch? study tests home video alternative

NCT ID NCT07243444

Summary

This study tested if a 12-week home-based video rehabilitation program works as well as traditional hospital-based rehab for people recovering from heart bypass surgery. Researchers compared 110 patients who were randomly assigned to either do exercises at home with remote monitoring, attend sessions at a hospital, or just receive standard educational materials. The goal was to see if the home program could improve heart and lung function and walking ability just as effectively, offering a more convenient option.
