Could common supplements fight fatal lung disease? new At-Home trial seeks answers
NCT ID NCT06567717
Summary
This study is testing if a combination of zinc and nicotinamide riboside supplements can help treat Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), a serious lung scarring disease. It aims to see if people with IPF can join and complete the entire trial from home, using video visits and local doctors for tests. Researchers will compare the supplements to placebo pills to see if they improve symptoms, quality of life, or lung function over 24 weeks.
