First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a gentle brain stimulation device (tDCS) at home, twice a day for three weeks, can help ease depression symptoms. It involves 30 adults with depression who are not taking any antidepressant medication. Participants are randomly assigned to receive real stimulation, a sham (fake) version, or join a waitlist, and the study measures changes in depression scores and how well people stick to the treatment.
