Brain zaps at home: Twice-Daily treatment tested for depression
NCT ID NCT07444242
Summary
This study is testing whether a home-based brain stimulation treatment called tDCS, given twice daily for three weeks, can help reduce symptoms of depression. It will involve 30 adults with depression who are not currently taking antidepressant medication. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the real stimulation, a placebo version, or be placed on a waitlist, with the goal of seeing if this convenient, at-home approach is practical and effective.
