First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether a safe, noninvasive brain stimulation technique (tDCS) combined with online chair yoga can help manage chronic knee pain in older adults with Alzheimer's or related dementias. Forty participants aged 60 and older with mild to moderate dementia and chronic knee pain will do 14 supervised sessions at home over four weeks. The goal is to see if this drug-free approach is feasible and reduces pain, improves mood, and enhances quality of life.
