Can a home care plan ease bladder cancer treatment side effects?
NCT ID NCT07781956
First seen Aug 24, 2026 · Last updated Aug 25, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This trial tests a personalized home-based supportive care program for people with non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer who receive intravesical perfusion therapy after surgery. The program provides physical symptom relief, psychological support, and education to help patients manage recovery at home. Researchers aim to see if it reduces discomfort, improves treatment adherence, and boosts quality of life.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- A home-based supportive care program delivered by a nursing team, including physical symptom relief, psychological support, and disease management education.
- What this could lead to
- If effective, this program could reduce treatment-related discomfort, improve adherence to therapy, and enhance quality of life for bladder cancer patients recovering at home.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage study with only 40 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The program's success depends on patient engagement and may not significantly change outcomes.
