Cancer patients recover at home in groundbreaking transplant trial
NCT ID NCT02671448
Summary
This study is testing whether patients with blood cancers can safely recover from stem cell transplants at home instead of in the hospital. Researchers want to see if home recovery reduces hospital readmissions and improves patient satisfaction while maintaining safety. The trial includes 91 adults with plasma cell disorders who have strong caregiver support and appropriate home settings.
