Could starting your insulin pump at home be safer and cheaper?
NCT ID NCT07492992
Summary
This study is testing a new way for adults with type 1 diabetes to start using an advanced, automated insulin pump system from the comfort of their home, instead of at a hospital. Researchers want to see if this home-based model is safe, helps people manage their blood sugar better, improves their quality of life, and reduces healthcare costs. Participants will receive training and a home visit from a nurse to set up the pump, followed by remote monitoring and check-ins over 12 months.
