Home makeover cuts senior falls in affordable housing

NCT ID NCT03780777

Summary

This study tested whether removing common home hazards could prevent falls for older adults living in low-income apartments. Researchers worked with 524 residents who had a history of falls, fear of falling, or felt unsteady. Occupational therapists visited apartments to identify and fix tripping hazards, then checked back after three months to see if it helped.
