Home dialysis system gets extended safety check
NCT ID NCT04198012
Summary
This study monitored the safety of continued home use of the HemoCare dialysis system for people with end-stage kidney disease. It allowed 25 patients who had completed an earlier trial to keep using the home dialysis equipment while regulators reviewed it for market approval. The main goal was to track any safety issues or device-related problems during extended home use.
