Zap and strap: At-Home brain stimulation paired with chair yoga aims to ease pain for dementia patients

NCT ID NCT07303998

Summary

This study is testing a new, non-drug approach to manage chronic knee pain in older adults with Alzheimer's or related dementias. Over four weeks, 40 participants will try a home-based program that combines gentle brain stimulation (tDCS) with online seated yoga sessions, all supervised remotely via video. The main goal is to see if this combined method is practical and acceptable, and if it might help reduce pain and improve daily life for people with dementia.
