Scientists test At-Home brain zaps to fight devastating speech loss

NCT ID NCT05901233

Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of home-based, non-invasive brain stimulation and online speech therapy can help people with primary progressive aphasia (PPA) maintain their communication skills. PPA is a rare condition that causes a gradual loss of speech and language. Researchers will work with 10 participants to see if this accessible, at-home approach is feasible and provides benefits for speech and confidence.
