At-Home brain zapper trial aims to ease phantom pain

NCT ID NCT05188183

Summary

This study is testing whether a portable, at-home device can help reduce phantom limb pain. The device uses gentle electrical stimulation on the scalp (tDCS) combined with sensory exercises. Researchers will compare this approach to usual care in 290 adults with chronic pain after amputation to see if it provides better pain relief in a real-world setting.
