Brain zaps at home: can electrical stimulation slow dementia?

NCT ID NCT06821568

Summary

This study is testing whether a 6-month, at-home brain stimulation treatment can improve memory and walking ability in older adults who show early signs of dementia risk. Participants aged 65-90 will use a device that delivers mild electrical currents to the brain through the scalp. Researchers will compare the effects of real stimulation to a placebo to see if it helps maintain daily function and brain health.
