Home test for rare metabolic disease: will patients use it?
NCT ID NCT06953505
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether people with certain rare metabolic disorders that cause high ammonia levels will measure their ammonia at home every day. About 30 participants will use a special device to check their ammonia, along with temperature, heart rate, and blood oxygen. They will also fill out a short daily survey and attend two clinic visits. The goal is to see if daily home monitoring is practical and acceptable for patients.
