Summary
This pilot study tests a training program called HOLA that teaches oncologists specific skills to build stronger, more trusting relationships with their Latino/a patients who have advanced cancer. The study will involve 8 oncologists and 32 patients, with half the doctors receiving the training and half continuing usual care. The goal is to see if the program is practical and acceptable, and whether it improves the doctor-patient bond.
