NCT ID NCT05029635

First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested an experimental drug called HMPL-523 (sovleplenib) in 272 adults with chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), a condition where the immune system destroys platelets, causing bleeding risks. Participants had failed at least one prior treatment. The goal was to see if the drug could safely raise platelet counts to a safer level over 24 weeks. Results showed a meaningful improvement in durable platelet response compared to placebo.
